Two New York Soldiers

Never met Sgt. 1st Class Joseph McKay or Spc. Mark Palmateer. Don’t know their friends or relatives. The two New Yorkers, McKay is from Brooklyn and Palmateer hails from Poughkeepsie, served in the 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry of the New York Army National Guard. Both died in the Logar Province in eastern Afghanistan.
Find some time this week to pay respect to these two fallen soldiers, and the other military men and women who are not returning to their families.
