Ceazer Said: "What makes you think that I’m not white? Ask yourself that.I am Italian,"

No matter what color you are, your statements are indeed racist. If you are white, then I can think of only 2 reasons why you would make such a statement. 1 - You have some deep-seated loathing against white people for some reason or 2 - You are a liar just looking to stir up trouble, throwing rocks at the hornets nest to see if you can stir up the swarm and get us to turn on each other. Either way I say it sucks to be you.

"Maybe to you thats not white, fine with me, but I know that white gay MEN are more racist that any far right winger, its just the fact,"

FACT: 3: the quality of being actual
4 a: something that has actual existence
5: a piece of information presented as having objective reality

OPINION: 1 a: a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter
2 a: belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge

****Definitions courtesy of Merriam-Webster Online

Since you obviously don't comprehend the difference between fact and opinion, I provided the official definitions for you. Your beliefs are simple OPINIONS that are not based in actual FACT. I am technically white yet my black and latino friends, not to mention a couple of past boyfriends, would be the first to tell you I am far from being a racist. There are some white gay racists to be sure but there are also many more white guys like me. Since a FACT must hold true 100% of the time by its very definition, and your beliefs do not, I think its safe to say that your beliefs and actual facts do not even live in the same state, and you are simply full of shite. Deal with it.

"...and Most ethnic minorities know that white gay men have more rights than them,"

How honored we are to be addressed by the spokesperson for "Most ethnic minorities". I'm sure that in your infinite wisdom, you can give us just one example of a right that white gay men have that others do not. Just one example. Take your time...

"we are now just asking for extra rights from the government, we are just not used to being turned down."

Again, I ask what "extra rights" we are asking for? I haven't seen anyone ask for extra rights, only the same and equal rights. I'm guessing you cannot give any example of these special rights any more than you can give an example of the rights white gay men have that others do not. The only special rights I see being asked for is the right for a fool to have his opinions respected as if he were a sage."

"You may disagree with this, but thats the belief out there."

People believed the earth was flat too. Now we laugh at their ignorance.

Marriage is defined in the American dictionary as a union between one man and one woman.

I have a dictionary that I purchased while in Canada. There it defines marriage as a union between 2 people. Says nothing about 1 man and 1 woman in that Canadian dictionary.

@Michael
Why is it that you are comfortable calling me names just because I have a different social view from yours. I'm a bigot, I'm talking out of my ass etc etc. I'm guessing you wouldn't like it if I called you names.

@Ceazer - you claim straights have less rights than gay, my dare to you was to prove your point - your response indicates you can't. I have been passed by many times by cabs in NYC, who cares, so have women, blacks, latinos, teenagers etc etc etc. I never stated that other minorities don't face discrimination...I simply stated that neither me, nor my gay husband, nor our two children (who are both straight) receive equal treatment under the law because I am gay. If I were to die, my partner who has raised our kids with me would be denied my social security. If I quit my job to follow him to a new job, I would not get unemployment, our children are not protected federally because they have gay parents so if either one of us dies then they suffer...those are just a few egregious differences between a gays and straights. You state that the dictionary lists a marriage as a man/woman. The definition and purpose of marriage has evolved over the years - your arguement means nothing. Dictionary.com has multiple definitions for marriage many excluding the reference to gender - so what? A marriage is a civil contract between two consenting adults period. Since you fail to produce any evidence to support your arguements that minority straight people have less rights than gays and that all we want are special rights, I take it that you conceed and only are defending your bigotry towards gays. If you are going to make a statement, maybe you should have a sound logical arguement and be able to support it with facts, otherwise, you are just talking out of your ass...which I feel you are probably comfortable doing as you've shown so much experience!
PS: I am not hating just stating the obvious. Wish I could give you a big 'ole gay kiss and hug. :)

@Michael
EVERYONE has a right to marry someone of the opposite sex if both are consenting adults, Gay folks want special rights to marry someone of the same sax. Marriage is defined in the dictionary as a union btwn 1 man/ 1 woman. Look it up, I dare you!

Oh and BTW, how about you and say a black male in NYC try stopping a cab and let's see who the cab stops for. I dare you!

@Ceazer - I wrote a long thread but your ignorance doesn't justify a response. No gay person has as many rights as any straight legal or illegal citizen of the USA. We have never asked for special rights, just equal rights. There are at least 1200 rights we are excluded from but the list is way more extensive, in that gay couples pay substantially higher taxes than straight couples, are denied basic protections our straight counterparts have, are prevented from having our partners (if foreigners) live in this country with us etc etc etc. So your comment that we have more rights that straight minorities is just blatant ignorance. Name 1 just 1. I dare you!

Menstruator you seem as hatefilled as the bigots who oppress us. For the record, there are many many wonderfully talented open successful lesbians in the entertainment industry...one of my favs. the fabulous Jody Foster (ala Silence of the Lambs). My question to you is why do you perpetuate so much hate on gay men? What have we ever done to you? It is exactly this internal divisivenous that keeps our community from progressing. Shame on you!!!!

To Cindy - I have to disagree respectfully. I grew up in a small southern Utah mormon househould. I was painfully aware that I was "different". I felt for a long time that there were not others like me, that I was inherently bad, that I needed to pray more, serve more (as the church teaches), believe more. Exposure of someone like Black who grew up mormon would have been a tremendous comfort. There are a lot of small town gay kids who don't have the exposure to any gay or lesbian. They certainly don't see them on FOX news which if we are talking conservatives here you can bet their watching. They don't see them in their towns, churches...you can bet they are there, but they are there in the shadows. While I agree that the impact may not be as great as we know, with gay/lesbian youth significantly higher at risk for suicide, reaching just one of them through open, loving, sincere acceptance speaches is an amazing thing. Brought tears to my eyes.

Ceazer Said: "Gay white men have it so hard? You are kidding right? Gay white men are the most racist bunch of people as I have seen over the years! and a gay white man has more rights that a straight ethnic minority any day."

I am guessing you are not white Ceazer, yet yours is the most racist statement I've seen in this thread. You are also a fool if you believe that any gay person, even a white one, has as many rights as any straight person. Maybe there are some white racists, but it is apparently obvious by your statement that white isn't the only color they come in.
