I demand my full and equall access to the institutions of American law. Anything less is an unjust, un-American plebecite.
We should not and shall not give up the blessings of Liberty to a howling mob of religious extremists and cultural atavists.
Our rights are not subject to the opinion of the mob without debate nor to the tyranny of majority without redress.
Our Civil Rights are to be won from the document that has already enshrined them, the Constitution. Liberty and Justice will be acheived at the Federal level, not at the whim of each state via a popularity contest. THAT is NOT how Civil Rights can EVER be won.

Your country was the terminal point on the Underground Railroad allowing Black slaves to escape to freedom from American oppression. Your country became independent from Great Britain essentially through legislation–America through war. Canadian culture celebrates peace and equality for all. American culture glorifies war and maintenance of the status quo. I’m American and my fiance and I will be in Toronto in February to get MARRIED. In doing so, we join a long list of oppressed people looking to Canada for freedom. I’m proud to be American, but THANK God for Canada!!

So, God is Good: Let ,me pose this quesiton to you. If you were applying for a marriage licence, would you want the government evaluating your relationship for longevity and the potential for extra-marital affairs? My guess is not. It is NOT for the government to say whose relationship will work and whose will not, and then dole out marriage licences accordingly.

Do you recall the recent story regarding a judge who refused to marry a man and a woman of different ethnicities simply because in his opinion the marriage would not last and would not be a good environment for children?

Basically my point is: What you think is right and what is wrong on a moral level is IRRELEVANT! The fact that you are even on this site spouting your vitriol is baffling to me. It would be the equivolent of me going on the Westboro Babtist “Church” website and arguing that homosexuality is a perfectly acceptable lifestyle.

Education is poison to the gay community:

There is, in fact, a large body of evidence which shows that gay relationships are not the equal of what heterosexual marriage is. If we are to make the correct decision for this country, it behooves us to examine all sides of the situation – even if some of it isn’t pretty.

The first revelation we could examine is commitment. The 1984 book “The Gay Couple” was written by a psychiatrist and psychologist (who happened to be a homosexual couple), and they hoped to dispel the myth that gay couples lacked stability and long-term relationships.

Rather than eliminate the myth, their research confirmed it. After much searching, they were able to locate only 156 couples in lasting relationships. The study also revealed that only 7 couples had actually maintained sexual fidelity and none of the seven had been together more than 5 years.

The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Sociology had this to say: “Gay” monogamous relationships are rarely faithful. “Monogamous” seems to imply some primary emotional commitment, while casual sex continues on the side (1).
Imagine coming home to see your spouse heading out the door saying “Love you loads honey, got to go see the boy(girl)friend now.” How does that make your creaky heterosexual bones feel? Does that feel like the commitment you went to the altar for? Didn’t think so.

Ignoring the emotional effects this could have on a straight relationship, how about the health aspect of all this? Here’s something from the upscale gay magazine Genre, which surveyed 1037 readers in October of 1996. “One of the single largest groups in the gay community still experiencing an increase of HIV are supposedly monogamous couples.” 52% have had sex in a public park. 45% have participated in three-way sex. 42% have had sex with more than 100 different partners and 16% claim between 40 to 100 partners.
