Ruby-Sachs: The scariest side of the religious right movement

The religious right organization, The Call, released a video detailing the evils of California’s laws on gay marriage. Check out the website and then watch the video (on the right hand side of the page). If you weren’t motivated to help the No on 8 movement before, this will knock you off your seat.

Reply to what Cindy said: They ARE praying for themselves. When you actually think about it, all people really pray for is what they want for themselves, and what they want for others. Nobody prays for what others want. They might pray for other peoples’ success, but only when they want those people to be successful. Nobody prays for the other team to win, so do not be fooled by liars who claim to pray for you.
Maybe they should be praying for themselves instead of us. I guess they figure it is okay to lie, discriminate, kill, maim, beat etc. their fellow man/woman in the name of their god.
Yes, Prop. 8 is of grave concern; but I’m MORE concerned about what disgruntled Republicans will do if McCain DOES lose. They tried to stir up horror stories about an African-American uprising if Obama loses, but I think the real danger is from the Reich-Wing gun nuts, survivalists, skinheads, KKK, and the “other” KKK: the Konservative Kristianist Krazies. Believing that this IS Armageddon, they won’t be very concerned about their own personal survival. They believe they’ll be caught up in Tim LaHaye’s “Rapture.” Just no seventy-five virgins for “kristianist” martyrs (chuckle), since a fair number already had them in THIS life .
