she was tolerate, didn’t say anything against gay marriage, til she was thrown into the fight by a scum bag name paris hilton. he made her a target for no other reason than her not agreeing with him. you want to call someone intolerate, you can call him that.

What a racket! “The Donald” knew he made the wrong decision to begin with. They were “hunting” for some reason to fire her. If only they had shown some guts in the first place.

The reason she was fired is very fair. It is not the fact that she is against gay marriage that caused her to lose her crown. It was more or less the way she projected her views. How can she represent a state but be agaisnt homosexuality. She doesn’t have to support it and she doesn’t have to accept it. But she should have been at least been tolerable. Tolerance is the key and if she can’t have that quality….to bad for her…I am happy that they fired her for the fact if she would have said she doesn’t believe in minority or inter-racial marriage things would’ve hit the fan. Think about it sometimes and as people [L.G.B.T.] we should not have to put up with this and we should not sell ourselves short just because we know that homophobia exists. It may start with a pageant and end as an holocaust or something. These are just some of the things that we have to think about. I am however happy that they fired her.

Carrie Prejean is a sad case of someone who used the pageant for her private opportunistic agenda. She was fired because of not following through on her contractual obligations.

Ruby-Sachs. I too was ashamed to have such an openly bigoted and ignorant person as a figurehead for my state. However I do fully support her right to freedom of speech, but not her right to violate a legally binding contract by working for NOM without the pageant’s authorization. Freedom of speech is a very important thing, but not just when it comes to homophobia. If she had said that she doesn’t believe African-Americans should be denied the right to an education, I would think it was a disgusting opinion to hold, but I would honor her right to say that just as much as her right to be against gay marriage. But on the other hand, if she joined the KKK as a spokesperson without the consent of the pageant, then yes, fire her.
