That in effect means he supports the right of lesbian and gay men to marry their same sex partners in California. So, that means that Obama supports same sex marriage in California. It will only be a matter of time before Obama "evolves" on this issue to publicly support the right of same sex couples to marry in states where they are currently prohibited from doing so. This is not a giant leap, this is a big baby step. Obama has publicly come out against Amendment 8 in California. That in effect means he supports the right of lesbian and gay men to marry their same sex partners in California. So, that means that Obama supports same sex marriage in California.
