Ruby-Sachs: Get scared and give money

By Emma Ruby-Sachs, 365gay blogger 10.21.2008 1:07pm EDT

A poll released today shows that 52% of California voters would vote in favor of Proposition 8. Only 43% would vote no.

That means that, as of today, even if all undecided voters were convinced that gay marriage was a good idea, we would still lose.

We need a major mobilization around this issue if we don’t want to lose the few rights we have gained.

    • I am infuriated! I have an IGoogle account and one of the gadgets on the page is How To Sign. On the top of the gadget is a link, “What is Prop 8″. I clicked on the link & it goes to a Yes on PROP 8 WEBSITE! Should Google let someone do this? Does this guy work for Google! Matt Olsen wrote the code & added it to the gadget. I deleted the gadget from my page. I wrote to Goole in protest of it. Please check it out & wrtie them about it. I Google pushing their agenda?

    • I am so infuriated with people like Gov. Palin who enjoy their freedom to religion and freedom to love who ever. They need to learn to live as the Bible says “Judge not least ye be judged.” Our Country has always been the land of the free but with eceptions to the rule do to the beliefs of a few There are many religious beliefs where Gays and lesbians are ecepted. Our laws were never meant to be based on the beliefs of a handful of people nor were we to be judged so long as we harm no one. Creating our laws in step with Batist or Catholic faith is as wrong as Gov. deciding what form of worship we can pratice. Keep religion out of gov. and gov. out of religion in order to have the Land of the Free. It is becoming as bad as the witch hunts in Salem, diffrence being this is nation wide…
