Very unlikely. Obama is nothing if not pragmatic – he knows the fag haters will provide more votes and money than the gay bloc. For him, that won’t ‘change.’

That appointment would be a pretty shrewd move right about now.

I have yet to talk with a gay person who is not absolutely livid about Obama’s invitation to Rick “gays are like pedophiles, yes to H8″ Warren to deliver his invocation inauguration. I don’t think Obama (or his team) had any idea how incredibly infuriating that selection would be to his LGBT supporters. It’s not his style to alienate supporters, especially on purely symbolic matters, so he’s going to be looking at building bridges. This might just do it.
