The process is Washington is often VERY opaque. It is difficult to put faith in politicians who have failed us so many times. So the path with Obama has been frustrating. It has always been entirely possible that he was working for us in the background, but we couldn’t see. Then there was that huge foo bar with the DOMA defense brief, which Obama was obviously not happy with. This is the first time we’ve seen some of that administrative movement spill out into the public sphere and I’m very happy to see it. It may not be much, but it’s enough to tide me over for a few more weeks. Then I’m sure the doubt and jitters will set in again. Maybe by then something will have actually passed.

Since passing the Hate Crimes Bill went into affect, then woulsn’t it be common sense to repeal DOMA and DADT since the point of expanding the Hate Crimes Bill is to protect LGBT peoples rights to live there life without fear or torment…?

What about the execution amendment? Are we supposed to overlook that in our glee to get our name on a piece of legislation? Have we become friends and allies of Sen. Jeff Sessions? We are being badly used and our national representatives are silent on that subject.
