Melissa Etheridge plays at the Democratic convention

Melissa Etheridge brought the audience to its feet at the Democratic National Convention a few minutes ago. She sang a medley of songs that started with God Bless America, wove in Give Peace a Chance and Times, They Are a Changin’ until she exploded with Born in the USA.

People were singing, crying, cheering, and waving their arms. A proud moment for us all, when a lesbian can bring delegates from all over the country to its feet.

She was even more amazing than she was last night at HRC’s equality concert, when she ended the evening singing Scarecrow, waving goodbye as the crowd sang, love, love, love.

  • Why on earth would we as lesbians still glorify this gender traitor? If you never knew it before you clearly know it now with her support for NObama.

  • I smell a Limbaugh Rethuglican…

“Why on earth would we as lesbians still glorify this gender traitor? If you never knew it before you clearly know it now with her support for NObama.”

We vote for the Democratic nominee, dittohead, because unlike Angry Johnny McCain, Barack is on our side. Hillary continues in the Senate and is also on Barack’s side. Bill Clinton is on Barack’s side.

You can’t fool us, dittohead. Now go play with your Republican pals in bathrooms and city parks, and we’ll be happy as heck.
