Isn't it equally possible for an individual in a gay male couple to be the biological father? While I am quite happy for those who will benefit from this, I'm afraid I don't get the distinction. While I get the reality of the situation is that it’s possibly for one of the lesbians in a couple to be the biological mother, I’m not sure I’m wild about any policies that codify different treatment for anyone under the law.

Isn’t it equally possible for an individual in a gay male couple to be the biological father?

While I am quite happy for those who will benefit from this, I’m afraid I don’t get the distinction.
