One News Now, a news site operated by the American Family News Network, posted a poll yesterday asking its readers to respond to Barack Obama’s proclamation in support of Pride Month.
Perhaps shockingly, almost 65% of the 120,000 votes cast have been supportive of the celebration.
Shocking, that is, until you realize that progressive activists on Twitter (myself included) have been pushing pro-equality readers to vote in the poll.
Childish? Probably. Fun? Absolutely.
So go drive up the numbers… why not?
I hate to spoil the fun, but if we all visit their website to cast our vote in a poll, won’t we just drive up the number of dayly visitors their website gets, thus driving up the value of their advertising space, thus putting more money into the hands of the enemy? Just a thought.

I’ll be damned, at least in this story. The tide is changing and we must keep the faith that we will ‘over come’ with love and understanding. Congratulations to the 65% who are uniting and not dividing.
