Withers: Debate 2 didn’t change much

By James Withers, contributing editor, 365Gay Blog 10.07.2008 11:28pm EDT

After the back and forth in the past two few days, I expected more fireworks in the Obama/McCain town hall get together (it really wasn’t a debate). Alas I was disappointed. Sure there were moments of intense disagreement (what to do with Pakistan is always a point of contention between the two), but overall nothing happened tonight that would sink either candidate. I would call it a tie, but I’m starting to wonder if my wish to be “fair and balanced” (ahem) is skewing up my judgement.

The last time these two got together, I called it a tie but it’s clear most everyone saw it as an Obama victory. What say you 365 readers? What do you think about tonight’’s McCain/Obama gab fest?

PS; Here is an NPR site that fact-checks what both candidates said tonight.
