Sorry to jump in on this – but BRUCE, your comment is racist and offensive. If you fail to grasp how referring to an African-American in any relation to “monkeys” only further highlights your ignorance. It is not picking and choosing, it is a historical epitaph….but aside from that – why did you even have to go there with a personal assault? If you didn’t like the pic. you could have simply stated that without the offense or any derogatory comments about Mr. Withers.
Perhaps James should repost the “Picture” and take a poll on what the image conjures up with the readership!
And then ask if this is a credible way to present oneself to the world….

Having said that why not find an image of yourself that shows you in a credible positive light as opposed to an image that shows you bearing your teeth like a mad dog!
or like expressing your self like a crazed Hyinna(sp?)
or expressing yourself as in idividual that has no control ( show us an example of a serious journalist that expresses themselves like your screeming ninnie image regardless of what animal referance it conjures up.

As for the random thoughts go….. they arent that tought provoking other than the wrist band for the park thing. You should expand on that as some of us out in the boonies are not familiar with that.
One day this may once again become a news site…. After the ownership became American the quality of journalism went gone way down. While globally it is understood that there is a dumbing down of America, that is still painful to see happening.
A once great nation of world class thinkers is now a cash cow for the rising Asian Middle East nations. America is going from super power to stupid coward.
I find your Ten Random Thoughts interesting and thought compelling. Don’t know about the new photo, however.
