Wow. Even today. George Bush gets announced and people boo like crazy and chant good-bye. That’s cold. Be gracious as he leaves peoples.

22% approval rating…that’s 88% of the “peoples” who DISapprove. He gets dissed, and so it goes.
Oh my…can’t do math with these emotions. 78+22=100…so that’s 78% DISapprove. My apologies.
I’ll be no more gracious to bush-idiot than he has been to me. Ding Dong the Witch is Dead! This moron has been a rock crushing the spirit of America since day 1 in office. Gratefully, this day has finally arrived and not a moment too soon; our country can start to regain the many loses during his “watch” … all moves calculated to move the wealth to the top! Now, it is time for the people – equality for all!
Georege Bush……. booooooo good bye good bye.
We are having a George Bush out of life’s party here at 4 pm to celibrate his leaving washington. So I’m cold. I can live with it.
Bush was a jerk from day 1. I’m glad he’s gone.
NA-NA-NA-NA HEY- HEY GOODBYE
I’ll be as gracious to him as he was to the GLBTQA community the past eight years, which is to say I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire!

Thank you, George W. Bush, for eight wonderful years. You’ve given up your life in the service of your fellow man, serving a nation that doesn’t even care enough to help you defend it. Obama may or may not be a decent president—history has yet to say—but I still approve of our 60th President, President George W. Bush, a true patriot and a great man.
Godspeed, sir.
I’m happy to see him go but I said I’d put my “Angry Left” sign away today so I’ll say no more.
Finally..to be able to breathe again. This poor country of ours has suffered enough because of all the eveil that this man has done. I wonder what he must think of himself.
Um, Jeff, you can’t count. DUHbyuh was the 43rd President, regretfully; Barack Obama is the 44th President. It’s only been on the news non-stop for days, unless you watch Faux Noise. 4000+ dead soldiers would disagree with your statement that we didn’t care enough to defend out country. The BUSCHREICH had ADVANCE warning of 9/11 and didn’t care enough to defend US from THAT.

Booooo!
Good-Bye, Bad Man!
Mr. Withers – your post contains good sentiment if not grammar.
I am, by no means, a Bush fan but I felt the booing was ill-tempered and mean spirited. I agree he offered us no better in his 8 years of service but I’d hope we, as liberals, would be able to show more grace, decorum and commitment to change than the far ring and Warren-esque Christians. That being said – I have to admit I got a little chill to know he’s no longer around to make the queer community the country’s punching bag.
It is what it is…two-million-plus people don’t stand around in 20-degree weather just to say hi. I don’t think Shrub is malicious, but he has the hubris of somebody who’s always been a “have” without any real effort. Not everybody was in the mood to be gracious today–a lot of us are just mighty damn glad that eight years of venom and incompetence is finally over. Might not have been the gracious thing to do, and all our ills are not solely Bush’s doing, but he did so little to stop it that there’s reason to boo. As for Cheney…the Dark Lord was in a wheelchair because he sat on his barbed tail. Got a dose of his own, for a change. Just another stop in the Karma Transit System.
Gracious my [butt]. King George should be tried and executed as a traitor to the country and for war crimes. I suppose after a few decades he will be seen as a hero much like Nixon went from being a disgrace to a shining light of the GOP after his death. The legacy of the Bush administration will haunt this country for years to come. Instead of being gracious, we should be pining for the days when tar and feathers were considered an acceptable reward for his (and Cheney’s) actions.
